Farmer and agricultural journalist. Farmer at Thorpe, Essex, 1871. Editor of the Mark Lane Express, a journal advocating the rights of the tenant farmer, 1881; journalist and author, 1891; journalist, author and fruit grower at Hailsham, East Sussex, 1901, 1911.
