Daughter of John Hay-Mackenzie of Newhall and Cromarty and Anne Craig. Duchess of Sutherland; Countess of Cromartie in her own right from 1861. Married George Granville William Sutherland-Leveson-Gower, marquess of Stafford (from 1861 third duke of Sutherland), in 1849.
