John Macbeth

Scottish piper. Employed by the marchioness of Stafford, Anne Sutherland-Leveson-Gower (from 1861 the duchess of Sutherland). Born in Farr, Scotland. Married Flora Dolina Macbeth (or Macbeath) in Edinburgh in 1841. Licensee of the Haunch of Venison public house, New Bond Street, London, 1851.
