Frederick William, Emperor Frederick III
1831–88
Married Victoria, princess royal of Great Britain, in 1858. Became crown prince of Prussia in 1861, and crown prince of the German Empire in 1871. On the death of his father, William I, in 1888, became Emperor Frederick III, three months before his death.
