Carl Friedrich Adolph Schneider

1821–93

Austro-Hungarian-born colonial medical officer. Born in Freystadt in Silesia (now Kożuchów in Poland). Medical officer on the voyage of the Circe, 1849–50. Health officer in the Royal Dutch East Indian Army, 1852–66. Practised medicine privately in Surabaya, Java, 1866–77.
