Abel Seymour Baldwin
1811–98
Physician and naturalist. Of Jacksonville, Florida. Member of the Boston Society of Natural History, for which he formed a collection of the fresh-water shells of East Florida. Became president of the Florida Medical Association. Studied climate and its sanitary relation to medicine.
