Barrister and novelist. Son of John Innes, who in 1861 assumed the additional name Brodie. BA, Cambridge, 1872. Called to the bar, 1876. Advocate at the Scottish bar, 1888. Interested in antiquarian research, romance, demonology, witchcraft, and criminology.
