Ann Hawkshaw (1835–1885)

1812–85

Poet. Daughter of the Rev. James Jackson of Green Hammerton, Yorkshire. Married John Hawkshaw in 1835. Published several volumes of poetry including Sonnets on Anglo-Saxon history and Cecil’s own book, which was for her grandson, Cecil Wedgwood.
