Edward VII, king of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and emperor of India
1841–1910
Eldest son of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Succeeded to the throne in 1901. As Albert Edward, prince of Wales, married Princess Alexandra of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg on 10 March 1863. FRS 1863.
